If I could pick a single, this would be it. When I heard the song by Gil Scott-Heron I thought it was dope that he was kicking shit about the struggles of Latinos. That song fucking touched me. I wanted to write about problems today, without being a wordy know-it-all political rapper. Frankly, I don't know shit about politics. I just wrote about shit happening to me or my fam, and this song became my favorite on the tape.
